Yonyou and IBM have announced a plan to collaborate that includes three key aspects

  • Fundamental to the collaboration, the plan is to jointly optimize DB2 with BLU Acceleration for Yonyou NC software which will extend the Yonyou ERP, supply chain, customer relationship, and human resources offerings.  Yonyou is a leading enterprise management software provider in China and the Asia-Pacific region and will offer DB2 with BLU Acceleration to new and existing clients. This will help Yonyou clients to deliver high-performance  analytics and transaction processing capabilities in one complete database.
  • Together IBM and Yonyou will develop an end-to-end Yonyou ecosystem  that will cover application testing, technical help, marketing expertise, and sales support.  This will leverage the IBM China Software Development Lab and is part of an ongoing IBM commitment to  develop and expand a new generation ecosystem.
  • IBM business analytics software will also be adopted into the Yonyou Unified Application Platform (UAP) which is the  common computing platform for the enterprises and organizations using Yonyou today.

Overall this strategic partnership between IBM and Yonyou will help  provide Yonyou clients with best-in-class transaction and analytic capabilities so they can derive fast business insights from a growing volume of data. DB2 with BLU Acceleration will offer Yonyou customers cost and performance advantages for transaction and analytic workloads.

“ERP and accounting software applications run a lot of reports. In a complex query test of balance of supplier on System x*, DB2 with Blue Acceleration yielded a 40x performance boost* over a traditional row database. This type of technology is an ideal fit for Yonyou’s Big Data Analytic Services.”

Zheng Yulin, Senior Vice President, Yonyou Software Co. Ltd.
